Chapter Members are free. All guests are $15 payable at the door.
The Aero Thermal Performance Laboratory (ATPL) facility is dedicated to measuring airflow and heat exchange of thermal
heat exchange components in clean or dirty air conditions. Components tested are coolant radiators, hydraulic oil coolers,
engine turbo intercoolers and entire product assembilies. Measurements are taken to very accurate levels. Heat transfer
charts are the end result. ASHRAE Standards are used in configuring the airflow apparatus and setting up and controlling
the airflow measufing devices.
The tour, with Power Points, will be conducted by Bruce Davis, Project Manager, and Greg Gessel, Ph.D., ATPL Manager.
